“The Pottery Cottage was everything we could have wished for during our bank holiday road trip. The room was very good value and was one of the most stylish B&Bs we’ve ever stayed in. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was super luxurious, kitted out with chunky dressing gowns and quality bubble bath & shower gel. Emma’s Breakfast Basket in the morning was delicious and well thought through – there was no pressure to be ready for breakfast at a fixed time, all the fresh fruit and bread was ready and waiting for us in the room. Emma and Oliver were excellent hosts, giving us great tip-offs on local places to eat and hikes to go on. We shall certainly be recommending this B&B to our friends and family.”

At The Warren this weekend: canoeists enjoying a full river, and revellers recovering from a wedding the night before at The Net House.
This, and many more similarly spectacular views can be found at every turn around here.
Pottery Cottage is a perfect base for exploring the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons.
Found outside Pottery Cottage – a HUGE Elephant Hawk Moth caterpillar. I hope we rediscover it as a beautiful moth!
Thanks to our mini wild flower meadow we have loads of butterflies and bees in the garden. Lots of fresh fruit and veg too. Hard to believe it was a building site just over a year ago!
Late summer early evening BBQ down at the Warren, an idyllic spot on the River Wye, just over a mile down the hill from Pottery Cottage.
We seem to be popular with wedding guests, and this weekend we had delightful Fran and Duncan staying with us for just one night so they could go to a friend’s wedding at Pond Cottage on the Hardwicke Road near Hay. Lovely guests, hope they come back for longer!
We had an excellent stay at Pottery Cottage, we feel so lucky to have found such a perfect B&B. Emma was absolutely lovely from my initial email enquiry to us checking out. The room and en suite were incredibly cosy. The bed was so comfortable (probably the best night sleep we’ve had in ages) and the bath and shower were amazing too! And breakfast was delicious as well as healthy. My only complaint was that we weren’t staying for longer. Will definitely be going back to Pottery Cottage when we’re next in the area. Thanks so much Emma!
